Finally a breather..
- A few funny things happened before our Investment Analysis exam.
Persis' door fell out.
Alright, I exaggerated, but the hinges came loose and the door was threatening to fall.
As a result she could not close it properly.
Then before the examination started, the invigilator announced that the exam will start in one minute.
And the clock stopped then! At 5.59pm.
It was the longest one minute ever cos technically, it lasted for five minutes.
The exam was ok I guess.
Not a confident ok or an unconfident ok.
Just a neutral-I-hope-I-can-pass-but-I-really-don't-know-ok.
The first few minutes, I was almost screaming for joy because the hardest topics and tables weren't tested.
Then I realized how much time I spent on studying them that I don't remember stuff about the easier stuff – the ones that actually came out.
This is the most horrifying subject ever!
I've never shivered and hyperventilated so much before entering the exam hall.
But I'm glad it all turned out alright – at least I could write stuff – more glad that it's over.
I don't mean to make this post sound like some thank you speech, but I want and need to thank quite a few people for helping me get through.
Two days before the paper, at around midnight, in school, we were clarifying our doubts with Kenny Chan Mali Chan and he totally brought the subject to light for me.
He could explain every single question we asked him to the tiniest detail possible.
And Chandan and Nick too, for going through all the articles during our discussion – which was more like a crash course for me.
And Charlene for trekking all the way to GP3 to study with me – twice in one day.
And having to put up with my whining about not understanding a single thing and feeling sleepy and feeling hungry and not feeling like studying anymore and feeling like committing suicide and thousand and one requests to "just stab me so I don't have to take the stupid paper!"
And Jacq, for the brilliant idea of preparing an essay on Market Efficiency – which came out in the end. ALRIGHT, NIGGA!
And Persis for the secret which I won't mention here. ;)
And the darling H blockers who were so comforting and supportive.
And Zhihao for asking me along in the first place, driving me to and fro, and answering my every nagging stupid kindergarten questions.
Ok yes, the post does sound like a thank you speech now.
But thanks again you guys!
Now the fear has been transferred to our next examinable subject – Corporate Financial Policy.
And during tutorial today, I actually missed studying for IA because CFP is a whole new thing to study for.
More articles, more methodologies and results, more formulas and concepts.
Yuck.
And before that, presentation for Marketing Management and proposal for Marketing Research.
Oh help!
